Lukoil says may become operator of projects in Congo
BRAZZAVILLE, Mar 17 (PRIME) -- Russian oil producer Lukoil is discussing with the Republic of Congo becoming an operator of new projects in the country, Ivan Romanovsky, vice president for America, Africa and the Middle East, said on Friday.
Lukoil is working on project Marine XII, whose operator is Italy's Eni.
"But Lukoil pursues development in the Republic of the Congo. We are primarily interested in projects, where Lukoil could become an operator,” he said after negotiations with Hydrocarbons Minister Bruno Jean-Richard Itoua.
“We have discussed several such opportunities today."
